You're cordially invited to attend a Re-Election Reception in honor of State Representative Mary Ann Shallcross Smith, on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Lodge Pub & Eatery, 40 Breakneck Hill Rd. (Rte.123), Lincoln, RI.
During her first term in the House of Representatives Mary Ann has proven herself to be an extremely hard working and dedicated legislator, who has demonstrated a caring leadership ability which is uncommon in state government today.
Her passion and commitment to bring needed change in order to benefit her constituents and all Rhode Islanders has truly been outstanding, and is demonstrated by the variety of legislation she has worked on in the short time she has held office.
Although still a freshmen legislator, Mary Ann has sponsored or co-sponsored legislation for job creation, economic development, tax reduction, education and student safety, protection of domestic violence victims, stronger criminal sentencing, consumer protection, green programs and more.
She is currently serving as a member of 4 House Committees: Finance, Small Business, Labor, and Constituent Services. Please come out and spend an evening with Mary Ann's family, friends and neighbors to honor her accomplishments and support her re-election.
